Indy LTE by Steven T. McCartney, Hughesville
When most of us work for a boss, we are expected to obey the supervisor. However, if you consistently do not follow his instructions, you probably would need to find a new job. Not so for the commissioners.
We elect these individuals to make decisions that would benefit the citizens and the county. Our present commissioners appear to have their own agenda with no regard for the citizens and their opinions. They have been told that we don't want Hughesville rezoned to benefit Chaney Enterprises; they have been told that we did not want a flush tax; they were told that we do not want a house alarm tax, the false alarm reduction unit, which created a new staffed office; and they have been told that we do not want a private well water tax. It appears that the wishes of the citizens fall on deaf ears.
